Nestor Garza was born on December 8, 1896 in Penitas, Hidalgo, Texas, United States, son of Nestor Garza (1871–1921) and Gertrudis Munoz (1871–1948).^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]}

Nestor (26) married San Juana Zamora (22) (born September 16, 1901 in Reynosa Diaz, Tamaulipas, Mexico; daughter of Julian Zamora (abt. 1846– ) and Florentina (de la Garza) Zamora (abt. 1860– )) on October 6, 1923 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Their children were:

• Ninfa Garza (February 01, 1929 – July 17, 2019)
• Nerea Garza (November 22, 1933 – August 01, 2020)
• Noelia Garza (November 01, 1935 – November 29, 2014).
