William was born in about 1804 in Stockport Cheshire England.[1]
When William was about 47 he married Sarah Kelsall in October 1851 in cheadle st marys 1851. The couple had 4 children: William Gaskell, Thomas Gaskell, John Gaskell and Samuel Gaskell.[2]
In the 1861 census William (age about 57) was living in Bramhall, Cheshire, England.[1]
In the 1871 census William (age about 67) was living in Bramhall, Cheshire, England.[3]
William died at the age of about 67 in June 1871 in Cheshire, Lancashire, United Kingdom.[4]
