Henry Gaskins was born before 1650, in Accomack County, Virginia, a son of Thomas Gascoigne, born 1601, in England, an early immigrant to the British Colony of Virginia. [1]
The Will of Thomas Gascoynes/Gaskins was printed in the Bulletin of the Northumberland County Historical Society, Vol. XXVII - 1990, "A Genealogical Find" by Carolyn Jett, Page 51 [2] and was dated 20 Jun 1663. Henry's Will was recorded by his Executrix and eldest daughter, Elizabeth: [4] Northumberland County Court October 20, 1697 Upon the Motion of ELIZABETH GASKINS Executrix a Probate is granted her of the Last Will and Testament of HENRY GASKINS deceased, the Will being proved by the Oaths of THOMAS MAIZE and THOMAS HOBSON Witnesses to the said Will and is Recorded.
