WILLIAM M GASS, was the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Gass, Troy, Richland, OH. He enlisted in the Civil War 5/12/1864. He was a sergeant in Company B, Ohio 163rd Infantry Regiment. He was mustered out 9/10/1864 at Camp Chase.
He married Ferdinandia Rhinehart Gass in 1882. She was the widow of his brother, James G. Gass, who died in 1873.
