Lucy was born in 1841. She passed away about 1885. On September 6, 1850 Elizabeth (Lucy's mother) and John(Lucy's step-father) lived in Audrain County. John's children from his first marriage are shown, along with Lucy Gass who is from Elizabeth's first marriage to David Monroe Gass.

ON JUNE 3, 1870, Joseph & Lucy A., ages 35 & 26, owned a farm in South Fork Township, Monroe Co, MO valued at $1000 with personal wealth of $575. Their daughters were Ida, age 3, & Ann E., 1. Their post office was in Santa Fe.
Other members of their household included Geo. W. Crigler, age 12, a farm laborer who helped Joseph on the farm & Atlanta Scott, age 16, a domestic servant.
ON JUNE 16, 1880, (Joseph) Edward & Lucy A., ages 45 & 38, lived in South Fork, Monroe Co, MO. Their children were Ida, age 14; Eliza, 12; Allie; 10; Willoughby, 8; Ira, 5; & Dora, 2. Edward was farming to support the family.
According to Joseph Sharp's 1910 obituary, Lucy passed about 1885. (See obit in photos.) Lucy is buried next to her mother, Elizabeth Carter Gass Charlton at the Longbranch Cemetery.
