Mary was born in 1756. Parents believed to be of German descent migration to South Carolina.

NOTE

Gasser may not be the actual last name spelling may be a derivitive of a similar German name. I assume that this person was in the migration of German Palatines into colonial South Carolina as was her husband. Germany to Pennsylvania and then South Carolina.

The churches mentioned in documents were St. John’s which was completed in 1763. Thhe oldest church in Charleston was St Philip's which was founded in 1680 (it being to small) and a newer built church was holding its first services on Easter Day 1723. In 1751, St. Michael’s was built on the property of the original St. Philip’s, and the first services were conducted there in 1761.
