Magdlena was the daughter of Johannes Gassmann and Anna Catherina Brunner.
Magdlena came to the United States on November 9, 1866 on the ship Asia. She came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Magdlena and John got married in 1871. They had 10 children. Seven of their children were: Mary, Anna, Francis Xavier, Charles Henry, Adelaide M., Magdalena and Margaret Krack.
Magdlena died from diabetes.
