She married Thomas Benton Simmons on 05 June 1881 in Bosque county, Texas.[3] Thomas had been a boarder in the household of Rena and Lucy Knight in 1880. Thomas and Lucy had two additional children.
They were in Hamilton county, Texas in 1900.[4] They were in Bosque county, Texas in 1910.[5]
She was widowed and living with her son James H. Knight in Bosque county, Texas in 1920.[6]
She passed away in 1929 in Cranfills Gap, Bosque county, Texas.[7] She was buried in Boggy cemetery in Cranfills Gap.[8]
