Biography
Elizabeth Gaston, eldest daughter of James W. Gaston and Mary Sheets Gaston, was born in the bounds of Monroe County, Tennessee around 1825.
On July 1st 1843, Eliza, as Elizabeth was known, married Jonas Rhyne in Monroe County, Tennessee.[1] This union had the following known children: Jacob (1844–1929) John Tipton (1850–1936) Eliza (1854–1924) Malinda C (1854–) Martha J. (1855–)
