Biography

Charles was born in 1820. He was the son of Clement Gatehouse and Dinah Unknown. He passed away in 1829.

Mr C Gatehouse and Mrs Dinah Gatehouse arrived with Miss Hannah Gatehouse, Mary Gatehouse, Sarah Gatehouse, Grace Gatehouse, Eliza Gatehouse, William Gatehouse, Charles Gatehouse and John Gatehouse, on 27 Oct 1826 on 'Hugh Crawford' to Hobart. [1]

Mary Gatehouse 18, Grace Gatehouse 14, Sarah Gatehouse 13, John Gatehouse 12, Charles Gatehouse 7, and George Gatehouse 9, were "not at school" in the Upper Pittwater census in 1828. They could read and write, and were a Protestant family. [2]

Charles Gatehouse died aged 9 years and was buried on 06 Jul 1829 in Sorell. Father: Gatehouse, Clement Mother: Gatehouse, Dinah [3]
