Eveline Gates was born in AL^[1] or MS.

Evaline was seen on the 1870 census in Fayette Co, TX living with the Johnson Gates family. There are a number of persons named Gates on the same page, and on the page previous to where Evaline is listed. They are probably all family members.^[2]

Death

Evaline Foster died about 1901 in Texas. Her husband and several children died of consumption (Tuberculosis)^[6] and it is likely that Evaline did as well.
