Biography
Andrew Cameron Lewis Gatewood was born June 30, 1843 in Mountain Grove, Bath County, Virginia. He was the son of Samuel Vance Gatewood and Eugenia Sophia Massie. He married Mary Skillern Warwick on December 1, 1869 in Mountain Grove. Mary was the daughter of James Woods Warwick and Eliza Jane Gatewood. They had six children:
- William Beale Gatewood b. 1873: d. 8-5-1943; m/1. Goldie Yeager; m/2. Eve Mayo Gardner
- Eugene Samuel Gatewood b. 1876; d. 4-23-1954; m. Minnie Rhea
- Massie Cameron Gatewood b. 1879; d. 1956; m. Kathyrn Hall, no children
- Andrew Warwick Gatewood b. 1881; d. 1959; m. Brownie Yeager, no children
- Mamie Preston Gatewood d. 1912; m. 6-19-1890, William Tate Cameron, M.D. (10-2-1866 Bath Co, VA; d.412-1940 Randolph County W.V., son of Charles Jacob Cameron and Isabella E. Tate)
- Eliza Pleasant Gatewood b.1884; d. 1967; m. John Mackee Dunlap (b.1874; d. 1934, son of Robert Kerr Dunlap and Elizabeth Moore)
