Lloyd Gathorne died young.

Lloyd was born in 1918. He was the son of Harold Gathorne and Ruby Varty.

BIRTHS

GATHORNE. – At the Sanatorium, on the 20th August, 1918, to Mr. and Mrs. H. GATHORNE, of Runnymede, East Griqualand, a son.^[1]

Sadly he passed away in 1927 at the age of 9. Cause of death was recorded as Appendicitis, Peritonitis and Toxemia^[2].

Lloyd was buried at Kokstad Cemetery.
