Biography

Edna Mae Gatlin was born on 6 August 1921 in Mena, Polk County, Arkansas, USA, daughter of James Asa Gatlin (1865–1953) and Lenora Labitha Barton (1879–1931).

Edna (19) married Cecil Lewis Mearse (20) (born on 11 July 1920 in Curry County, New Mexico, USA; son of William Luther Mearse and Jessie Singleton) on 2 June 1941 in Snyder, Scurry County, Texas, USA. Their known son was Max R. Mearse (22 August 1951 – unknown).

Edna died on 27 June 2010 in Abilene, Taylor County, Texas, aged 88, and was buried at Hillside Memorial Gardens, Snyder, Scurry County.
