Biography

Joseph-Andre was born on 1 Décembre 1759 and baptized the next day in Charlesbourg.[1][2] His godparents were Pierre Lefebvre and XXX Drouin.

He married Geneviève Orion on 19 February 1781 in Nicolet.[3]

Gaudette - Gaudet-1 and Gaudet-1176 appear to represent the same person because: The person in PRDH with date of birth 1759-12-01 in Charlesbourg, married Geneviève Orion on 1781-02-19, and passed away on 1834-09-04 in Nicolet (not 1839). Only one son Joseph for parents Joseph and Marie Josèphe Comeau. No son André listed for this couple.

On his 'edit' page, please change his Last Name at Birth to one of the spellings of his surname. Then put the other spelling in the "Other Last Names" field. "Gaudette_Gaudet" is not a correct naming convention on WikiTree. Please let me know if I can help. Thanks!

Hi, Arora, the Joseph Gaudet who had these parents was born in 1759. The marriage date you found were for his parents. The PRDH link also has his spouse, Genevieve Champagne Orion. Let me know if you need to see an image of that.

The Marie Doucet he was married to is his grandmother so I removed her.

If you want to use these 1759 marriage dates, then he needs to be merged with his father.
