Hi Michael

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Acadia Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Hello Michael,

On behalf of the Acadia Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. Please let me know if you are still active, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the project, or a sub-project, within the last two months.

All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Michael, researching Acadian ancestry. Wondering if you uploaded to Gedmatch?

Thank you

Re you comment on my profile: Michael, you have no idea. I worked over 4 hours yesterday merging duplicates and getting the children and spouses on the correct profiles. One big problem is that there wasn't a profile for one of the Jeans, the one who married Marie Breau so everything was put on his cousin also named Jean, also born in 1790. I named that one Jean Baptiste just to keep it straight while I was doing the work. It was indeed a mess. After a few days, I will look it over to see that everything is correct, but if you notice something and have a source, please let me know. What is the Stephen White source you refer to and why isn't it posted on the profile? I have the DGFA but maybe you have something else?

Hi Michael . There is a proposed merge of two of your Weber/Webre profiles. It appears to me that this family is of French origin and not Alsatian German, therefore, I think it's appropriate to give the name the French spelling Webre. The profile settings don't allow me to complete the merge and edit the bio to add sources unless you add me to the trusted list for both profiles. Thanks! I left a note: Weber-786 and Webre-1 appear to represent the same person because: Although the family name was originally Lefevre before 1700, it quickly became Webre when the family came from France to Louisiana.

Hi Michel, There are several duplicates in the Webre/Weber profiles. Do you think the last name should be spelled "WEBRE" or "WEBER".

Hi Michael,

Do you have a GEDMatch profile? My mother's maiden name is Gaudette, so I know we're related somehow! Best, Thom

The Acadians Project is being profiled on a Wikitree Video. They are interested in a brief ‘person in the street’ description of the project and what’s new.

Check out the draft using the link below… Are your interests included? http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Acadians
