PREFERRED HOTEL CASHIER WIFE APPLIES FOR DIVORCE Florence Powell Poole (formerly Gaudin) applied to Mr. Justice Gordon, in the Divorce Court to-day, to dissolve her marriage with Frank Powell Poole, on the ground of mis- conduct. The petitioner and the respondent were married in June, 1906, at Woollahra. Petitioner, who was represented by Mr. P. K. White, said the respondent brought a girl to the house at Manly on Easter Sunday, 1914. The girl was a cashier in a bar. Peti- tioner asked her husband not to bring the cashier to the house again, but the girl paid another visit. Witness had asked her hus- band to give the girl up, but he refused. Mr. Boyce (Instructed by Messrs. John Wil- liamson and Sons) appeared for the respon- dent on the question of alimony and custody of the children. His Honor found the misconduct proved, and ordered the decree nisi to be moved ab- solute in six months. The Sun (Sydney, NSW : 1910 - 1954) Thu 1 Jul 1915 Page 3
