Marie Geneviève Godreau {sic] was born and baptized on 20 Aug 1790 in Saint-Thomas parish in Montmagny, Province de Québec. She was the daughter of Augustin Gaudreau and Marie Marthe Lemieux. Sponsors at Geneviève's baptism were Joseph Fournier and Marie François Lemieux, wife of Charles Depré [sic].
At age 25 Geneviève married Joseph Castonguay on 22 Apr 1816 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (L'Islet) parish. There were six known children born into this marriage. Geneviève died at age 78 on 27 Aug 1868 in Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies; she was buried two days later on 29 Aug in Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies parish cemetery.
Genevieve was born about 1796. She is the daughter of Augustin Gaudreau and Marthe Lemieux. In 1816, she married [Castonguay-70|Joseph Castonguay]. [1]
