Leonhard, son of Gubert Gauer and Margreth Tischhauser, was born on 4 September 1708 and christened in the Reformed church in Gretschins, St. Gallen, Switzerland. The godparents were Jakob Sulser, Hans Schlegel, Dorothea Seifert and Magdalena Schumacher.[1]
On 29 November 1746, Leonhard married Maria Gabathuler in the local Reformed church.[2]
He died on 13 July 1760 was laid to rest at the cemetery at the local Reformed church two days later.[3]
