William Gaulden was born in about 1764, the son of John and Susannah Brumfield Gaulden, in (most probably) Prince Edward County, Virginia.

"He was married in South Carolina to Miss Elizabeth Malone and emigrated to Mississippi. His descendants lived in New Orleans and were said to be Charming People."[1]
