Biography

"JACOB GAULDING (john1 John2 John Mathew3) was born in 1749 in PRINCE EDWARD CO., VA. He died in CUMBERLAND CO., VA. He married SUSANNA ATKINSON."[1]

He is mentioned in daughter, Sarah Gaulding's marriage record to Joseph Self.[2]

He has two 1812 War Folders, one listed under Gauldin referencing "Original filed under" the name Jacob Gaulding. He is a private in the 4th Regiment Militia, Lt. Col. Huston, Lt. Col. Wooding. Virginia[3]
