Lula Gaulding was born in 1871 and passed away in 1958. In a Genealogy/Dates document (see "Sources" below), Lula's granddaughter, shared the following:
Grandmother [Lula Watkins]...spent her last years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.L. Brien. She died in the summer of 1958 at age 87. Last word "Mama." When Grandfather was Pres. of Millsaps, one of the professors said she looked like a little Dresden doll.
Lula Gaulding Watkins is buried in Cedarlawn Cemetery Jackson (Hinds County), Mississippi.

Lula's maiden name is correctly spelled Gaulding. Not sure how the tombstone got it wrong.
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Lula by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
