Biography

Alexander Dickson Gault was born February 19, 1810 in Pennsylvania. He died July 16, 1892 in Goodville, Lancaster Co, PA and is buried in Gault Graveyard, Gap, Lancaster Co, PA; FAG 57700650. ^[1] Alexander was the son of Thomas Gault 1782-1834 & Mary McKee Gault 1787-1869.

Alexander's first marriage was to Catherine Richwine in Salisbury Township on May 12, 1840. Catherine died about two weeks after giving birth to their son Samuel Richwine Gault.

Alexander's second marriage was to Sarah Weaver in Salisbury Township on January 5, 1843. ^[2] Alexander & Sarah were the parents of nine children: John Alexander, 1843-1910; Thomas Jefferson, 1844-1866; Mary Ann, 1846-1892; Benjamin Franklin, 1848-1849; Henry Munholland, 1850-1918; Sarah Jane, 1850-1933; William Sylvester, 1852-1856; Adam Newton, 1855-1858, and Caroline Susanna, 1857-1922.
