Joseph Gauron was born on 12 Feb 1729, baptized on the 27th in Lotbinière, son of Joseph (Michel) Gauron and of Marie Renée Hubert.[1]
NOTEThere are 2 brothers named Joseph in this family, who marry two sisters, Louise and Marie Anne Portelance. The other Joseph gets the nickname of Besotte and lived in Deschaillons, whereas this one lived in Lotbinière. The Deschaillons Joseph remarried in 1767 with Marie Mersan dite Lapierre. Not to be confused together. The question remains on which is which.

Tutelle aux mineurs de Joseph Gorond (Goron), habitant de la seigneurie de Lotbinière, paroisse de Saint-Louis, et de feue Marie-Anne (Marianne) Portelance . - 28 avril 1765[3]
Per the original document attached to above, the initial request to hold an assembly to name tutors for the minor children (standard practice at the time) was done on 20 March 1765. The tutors decided upon were Isidore Portelance as tutor and Michel Goron as subrogate. There are 5 children cited as minors (not named). Presumably the child who died before then would be Marie Anne born in 1757, for which no further trace is found.

marriages of sons of those parents found:
Joseph Goron married Marie Josephe Mailliot 3 Feb 1744 Deschaillons (consanguinity noted), this is most likely the eldest boy Joachim, who seems to only use Joseph.
Michel Goron (resident of Deschaillons) married Marie Françoise Hamel 17 jan 1746 Ste-Croix de Lotbinière
Joseph Gorond (resident of St-Jean ie Deschaillons) married Marie Louise Portelance 3 nov 1750 Lotbinière. Cited present at the wedding are Michel Goron father of the groom, Michel and Jean Baptiste Goron his brothers.[7] Oddly, neither the other Joseph Goron nor Marie Anne Portelance are cited present. The Portelance cited present are Joseph, father of the bride, Isidore and Marie Agate, brother and sister.
Among the godparents for the children of either couple are Joseph, Isidore and Louis Portelance, Michel Gauron
Tanguay has the Joseph Gauron who married Marie Josephe Mailliot in 1744 marrying Marie Anne Portelance, and the Joseph who married Marie Louise Portelance in 1750 as the one born in 1729.[8]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
Gauron-32 and Gauron-26 appear to represent the same person because: Même parent, même date et lieu de naissance. Cependant, la date de décès ne correspond pas. D'après Family Search, ils auraient eu deux fils prénommé Michel. Un né en 1754 et l'autre né en 1758.
Gauron-32 and Gauron-26 do not represent the same person because: These are not the same person. Please note the different spouses and sons named Michel who are not the same. Also the different death dates. Also note that Michel and Renee had two sons named Joseph. (see the notes on Gauron-26). I cannot confirm Gauron-32 is the other Joseph, only that these two people are not the same.
Gauron-26 and Goron-7 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, dob andplace, wife, dom and place, dod and place. Goron and Gauron are alternate spellings.
