He passed away about 1860 and is John Maxie Gause (b. 1935) told me his grandfather (John Maxie Gause b. 1867) took him to this cemetery when he was a child, and told him that his grandfather (John Gause b. 1800) was buried here, but the wooden marker was gone.buried in Lynch's Memorial Garden Cemetery, Florence County, S.C.
