Marie Arthemise Gauthier was born on July 28, 1859 in Saint-Basile, Portneuf, Canada East, daughter of Joseph David Gauthier and Adelaïde Fisette.[1]
Arthemise (21) married Joseph Matte (23) on January 11, 1881 in Saint-Basile.[2]Together, they had the following known children:
