Thérèse was the daughter of Ignace Gauvin and Marguerite Alain. She was born 3 December 1824 and baptized the same day in L'Ancienne-Lorette, in modern-day Québec. Her godparents were Pierre Robitaille and Marie Angélique Alain.[1]
On 31 March 1845, Thérèse married Charles Moisan in L'Ancienne-Lorette. Thérèse's witnesses were her father Ignace and her brothers Michel and Pierre.[2]
Thérèse and Charles moved to the parish of Saint-Raymond before the birth of their second child in November 1847. On 24 October 1850, four months after the birth of her last child, Thérèse died at the age of 25. She was buried two days later in Saint-Raymond.[3]
