John first married Mary, daughter and co-heir of Walter Graverigan. In 1538 he is recorded as having matriculated at Broadgates Hall, now Pembroke College, Oxford. He was later a student of the Middle Temple. He died aged 41 in 1603 leaving 6 children and considerable assets to his son John who was aged 16. [4]
