Biography
George was born in 1914. He was the son of Edwin Gawne and Lizzie Pearson. He passed away in 1978. George E Gawne married Mary VanDyke on Jun. 22 1940. They lived in Florence Ont. where their family was born. George worked at the chicken hatchery owned by Wilbert North. Their family consisted of Andrew (Drew) Edwin, who married Sharon Marlene Patterson of Brantford. Donna Gean, who married Michael Belosladzez. Lena Mae Gawne who married Wm. Cass of Brantford. George and family moved to Brantford Ontario in the middle 1960's. George, Mary, and Drew are buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Brantford.
