Biography

Mary was born in 1907. She was the daughter of William Gay and Elizabeth Bird.

In June 1921 Mary was awarded a state scholarship.^[1]

In 1934, Mary was living with her sister Irene at Spence Street, Cairns. She was performing home duties while Irene was working as a clerk.^[2]

She never married and passed away in 1986.
