Biography
Roger was christened 7th May 1637,
He entered New Hall Inn Oxford University in 1656. He completed his B.A. in 1659 and his MA in 1662. He married in 1662, he was a clergyman in North Tawton just north of Okehampton (appointed 1662) Roger died 16th April 1716

North Tawton parish register: 'Rodgger Geare clarke and Elizabeth Cottle gentlewoman were married the 12 day of February 1662' [1662/3][1]
After Elizabeth died in early 1700, he married twice more:
Roger Gayer, rector of North Tawton and Bridgett Raymond were married on 19 June 1700 in Coldridge, Devon.[2][3] 'Bridget wife of Roger Gayer Clerke' was buried on 20 Mar 1702/3 in North Tawton.[4]
'Mr Roger Gare (Minister) and Mrs Elizabeth Phillip' were married on 5 Feb 1703/4 in Crediton, Devon.[5] Elizabeth survived him.

The correct linage is Roger Gayer ( parents unknown) ,married Elizabeth Cottell ,( just the one Elizabeth), They had a daughter Elizabeth Gayer who Married Joseph Palmer,That is it, i made a mistake adding a brother for the Elizabeth who married Jospeh, the rest is the mess i got into trying to fix that. All I wanted to do was to get rid of the extra brother, perhaps i should have left him, with just a note explaining that mistake
