Biography

Miss Sarah Ann Gayman was born in Pickway County, Ohio, in the year 1827. She was raised there. She joined the Christian Church when she was a child thirteen years of age and was a faithful Christian worker to the end. Mrs. Lesher was a kind mother and an affectionate wife. In the year 1847 she married Mr. John Higinbotham. To this marriage were born nine children, four girls and five boys, all dead but two boys. Her husband died in 1891. She was married to her present husband, Jacob Lesher, at Hill City. She died at her home in Kirwin, Kansas, November 6, 1905, leaving a husband and two sons to mourn her death.
