Theresia Gazolli was the first-born child of Josephus Gazolli and Dorothea Wagner in Topolya. Her father was servus dominalis, so was her godfather Josephus Wegschneider, husband of her godmother Christina Kugler.[1][2]
On 10 November 1867, with age almost 15, she was married to Franciscus Jano from Denta, who was about 23 back then. Witnesses of the wedding were Stephanus Szabo and Sigismund Domokos.[3]
The couple had at least two children, both born in Topolya:
In the baptism records the parents are referred to as "nobil", same goes for the godparents Julianna Timary and her husband Dionysius Kovacs.[4]
During the next five years the family moved to Gattája (currently Gătaia, Timis, Romania). On 6 February 1874 cottager (zseller) Ferentz Jano died in house #71 aged 32 on brain inflamation (agylob).[5]
During the next two years, she went back to Topolya and married Nicolaus Meszecsov on 21 February 1876. Witnesses were miller (molitor) Carolus Me...e.. and pleb(ejus) Joannes Herman(n).[6]
Their daughter Julianna /: Ilona:/ was born on 16 December 1877 still in Topolya. Her godparents were again Julianna Timary and her husband Dionysius Kovacs.[7] When she died almost eight weeks later, on 9 February 1878, the family was living in Malenitzfalva/Nagygáj, according to her death record.[8]
On 19 March 1880 Therez Gazoly gave birth to the twins Josef and Sandor (Alexander).[9] Godfather of both children was shepherd Constantin Deak, Josef's godmother was his wife Katalin Fekete, while Sandor's was Julianna Deak - his daughter.[10] While Sandor survived and later emigrated to the US, Josef died one month before his first birthday on 19 February 1881. Back then the family was living on Puszta Tuzokret in Gilad.[9]
On 21 February 1884 Terezia Gazoly gave birth to another pair of twins: Jozsef and Maria. Maria died on 24 February, the day she was baptized, Joszef two days later. Godparents to Joszef were Mihály Molnár, a kind of higher ranking farm manager, overseer, who usually supervises more than one farm (tiszt(t)tartó) as well as Judith Somogyi. Maria's were János Plum, a miller of a water-mill (vízi molnár) and Katalin Domokos. Apparenly it was a complicated birth, because Terezia, also died on 7 March. The family was living again in Topolya.[11][12]
