Irene was born in 1871. She was the only child of Major Hamilton Geary and Anastasie Zancarol.
She was baptised on 31 July 1871 at Saint Mary Magdalene, Woolwich, Kent, England.[1]
At the age of about 19 she married Henry Melvill Simons on 16 October 1890 at St Michael, Chester Square, London, Westminster, England, after Banns. The witnesses were H M Simons, Hamilton Geary, Maj. Sankey and Eva Le Mesurier.[3]
They had at least three children, one of whom sadly died young.
UK Census Event Date 31 March 1901: Living with her husband Henry, six year old daughter Irene and five servants in Chelsea, London, England. Aged 28.
In the UK census of 1911 she and her husband Henry were still living in Chelsea, London with their two daughters Irene and Joyce. Also in the household was one visitor, one footman, one butler and six servants. She was aged 39.
Her husband passed away in 1926 at the age of 63.
She passed away in 1928 at the age of about 57. Her will was proved by Administration on 14 December 1928 at London to Irene Melvill Melvill, single woman. Effects: £13285 18s.[5]
