Biography

Otis was born in June, 1883 in Pictou, Nova Scotia to Elbridge Geary and Martha Jones ^[1] By 1906, he moved to Schreiber, Ontario working as a Locomotive Fireman stoking coal into the engines firebox. On 12 June 1906, he married Marguerite Mcdonald in Schreiber, and started raising a family. By 1921 he had worked his way up to Locomotive Engineer. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4]} He remained in Schreiber until his death on 6 September 1949.
