Biography

Emanuel was born in Ohio in 1822. He was the son of Col. Emanuel Gebhart and Elizabeth La Rose, early settlers of Miamisburg, Ohio. Emanuel married Barbara Clevenger in 1842. They had six children before he died in 1858 at the age of 36.
