Close Rolls of 1232 (this must be an earlier John): Pro Johanne de Gedding'.—Mandatum est justiciariis ad custodiam Judeorum assignatis quod per probis (sic) et legales homines de comitatu Suff' extendi faciant terram Johannis de Gedding', et secundum extentam et valorem ejusdem terre ei faciant habere rationabilem finem de debito quod debito (sic) quod debet Benedicto Crespin et Jacobo fratri ejus, Judeis London'.
