Biography
Peter was born in Rye, Westchester County, New York on 16 July 1813 the son of Solomon and Amy (Haight) Gedney.
He married Abby Olmstead of Ridgefield, Connecticut in 1834. They lived in his ancestral home of Mamaroneck, Westchester County.
His brother David had married Abby's sister Emelia.
There are no known children before his death eight months later on 15 July 1835.
He was buried in the Solomon Gedney Burial Ground in Rye. [1]
