Biography

Barbara (Gee) Woodson is a part of US Black heritage.

Barbara Ann Gee was born in 1852 in Ohio. She was the daughter of Charles Gee and Jane Chilton.[1][2] She married John Woodson on 15 December 1873 in Gallia County, Ohio.[3] They had several children including Ida,[4] Mable, Charles Edward, Fanny, John, Jennie, and William.[5][6]

In 1940, Barbara was widowed and living in the household of her daughter Francis Howard in Xenia.[7]

Barbra Ann Woodson died on 21 December 1943 in Xenia, Ohio[1] She was buried in Massies Creek (Tarbox) Cemetery.[8]
