In Sliedrecht, on September ?, 1814, on the one side, Johannis van Wijngaarden, occupation laborer, 26 years of age, born and living in Sliedrecht, son of Ariaantje Verhoef and of the deceased Willem van Wijngaarden, and on the other side Teuna Geene, 26 years of age, without occupation, also born and living in Sliedrecht, daughter of Sagarias Geene, occupation tailor, and of Ariaantje de Vries, married, and also living in Sliedrecht. The record is drawn and signed in the presence of the witnesses Sagarias Geene and Ariaantje de Vries, married, and Ariaantje Verhoeff, widow of Willem van Wijngaarden, parents of the groom and bride, and also Willem Geene, 23 years of age, occupation tailor, brother of the bride, Kornelis van Wijngaarden, brother of the groom, 37 years of age, Pieter Bisschop, occupation laborer, 44 years of age, a friend, also living in Sliedrecht. The record is drawn and signed in the presence of the witnesses Andries Teeuw, 53 years of age, occupation laborer, brother of the groom; Johannis Geene, 25 years of age, occupation tailor, brother of the bride; Arie Smit, 27 years of age, occupation bread baker; Gerrit Bakker, 23 years of age, occupation laborer, both good friends of the couple, all living in Sliedrecht. The mother of the bride, the witness Andries Teeuw, and Gerrit Bakker did not sign the record because they declared not to be able te write.^[3][2]
