Ebenezer Geer was born on the homestead farm on 1 Apr 1710 in Groton, New London, Connecticut Colony, son of Robert Geer Sr. (1675–1742) and Martha (Tyler) Geer (1676–1741).[1][2][3]

Ebenezer (24) married Prudence (Wheeler) Geer (22) (born on 25 Sep 1712 in Stonington, Connecticut; daughter of Richard Wheeler and Prudence (Payson) Avery) on 2 Jan 1735 in Groton, New London County.[1][3][4] Their children were:[5]

His original tombstone was inscribed "In memory of Ebenezer Geer, who lived virtuously and died hopefully."
