Mrs. Mary Anne Hettrick, 79, Macomb, widow of William Hettrick, died Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Phelps hospital, following a short illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dodsworth-Piper chapel with the Rev. H.A. Edwards, Astoria, in charge, and the Rev. Fred Myers, Good Hope, assisting. Burial will be in the Good Hope cemetery.
Mrs. Hettrick was born Sept. 26, 1869 near Astoria, the daughter of James and Margaret Geer. She was married May 23, 1897 to William Hettrick. They lived near Vermont for a short time and then moved to the Blandinsville area. She moved to Macomb after hs death in 1943. She is survived by two shildren, Dwight Hettrick, Iowa City; Mrs. Floyd Leighty, Macomb, nine grandchildren. One son, Glenn, is dead. Friends may call at the funeral home.[2]
