Biography

Catherine (Gehr) Cushwa was born on 9 May 1816 in Washington County, Maryland.

Catherine married Barnet Cushwa (1814 - 1880).[1]

Their daughter was Mary A. (Cushwa) Thatcher (1840 - 1900).

In the 1850 census Catharine (age 33) was in District 2, Augusta, Virginia, United States.[2]

In the 1860 census Catharine was in Berkeley County, WV.[3]

In the 1870 census Catharine (age 53), Keeping House, was in Hedgesville, Berkeley, West Virginia.[4]

In the 1880 census Catherine (age 64) was the wife of Barnet Cushwa in Hedgesville, Berkeley, West Virginia, United States.[5][6]

Catharine died on 31 December 1891 and was buried in Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States.[7][8]

Catherine was in an obituary on the 18 sep 1891 .[9]
