Jacob was born 12 September 1874 in Walter, Russia. He was the son of Asmus Giesick and Katharina Margaretha Ils.[1]

He married Barbara Marie Sitzman from Frank in Russia. She passed away in 1926.

He, Marie and 2 children arrived in Galveston, Texas aboard the steam ship Hannover 30 April 1903.[2]

He married Amelia Lorenz 26 December 1926 in Fort Collins, Colorado.[3]

He passed away 4 October 1956 in Torrington, Wyoming.[4]
