Biography
Joseph Henri Gelinas was born on 15 Oct 1887 in Essex, Ontario, Canada and was baptized the next day. He was the son of Thomas Gelinas and Edwige Ouellette. Godparents at Henri's baptism were Clément Ouellette and Hélène Lechien, neither sponsor signed the register.
At age 22 Henri, a farmer, married Julia Pitre on 9 Feb 1909 at Our Lady of the Lake parish in Essex.
Henry died at age 69 on 1 Jan 1957 in Windsor, Essex, Ontario; he was buried in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada.
