James was born about 1840. The 1861 Census shows him working as a Joiner. [1] He married widow Catherine (Moore) Corran Sept. 16, 1872.[2]In 1881 he was living in Barrow-In-Furness, Lancashire, England where he worked as a blacksmith.[3] Sometime after the death of his wife, he returned to the Isle of Man. The 1891 Census shows he was boarding at the home of William Corran and his son, James, is listed as a visitor.[4] He passed away Oct. 21, 1900 in Braddan, Isle of Man.[5]
