Pierre (aka Peter) Gendreau was born on 6 Apr 1826 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Thomas parish in Montmagny. He was the son of Pierre Gendreau and Marie Catherine Gamache of Cap Saint-Ignace. Godparents at Pierre's baptism were Vincent Jalbert and Cecile Cohouet [Caouette]. [1]
At age 26 Pierre married Barbe Caron on 9 Aug 1852 in Sainte-Luce parish in Frenchville, Aroostook, Maine. [2] They raised their very large family in Saint Francis, Aroostook, Maine.
Pierre/Peter died at age 88 on 14 Aug 1910; he was buried in Saint Charles Catholic Cemetery in Saint Francis, Aroostook, Maine.
