Biography
Marie Elmire, the daughter of Joachim Gendron and Adelaide Marchand, was born 13 September 1846 in Châteauguay and baptized the following day. The Saint Joachim parish register identifies her as "Marie Elmire née le jour précédent fille de Joachim Gendron et d'Adélaïde Marchand. Parrain Louis [?] marraine Domithilde Gendron."[1]
On 19 October 1886, she married Charles Faubert. The Saint Joachim parish register states that the marriage was between "Charles Faubert, cultivateur, veuf majeur de feue Rose Ann Bannon, de cette paroisse, d'une part, et d'Élmire Gendron, fille majeur de Joachim Gendron, cultivateur et de Adélaide Marchand, aussi de cette paroisse, d'autre part; . . . . en présence de Joachim Gendron père de l'épouse et témoin spécial de l'épouse, François Faubert, frère de l'époux et témoin spécial de l'époux, Joseph Gendron et autres."[2]
