Biography
“Christian Gengenbach was born on March 14, 1859 at Neckarwestheim, Wuertemburg, Germany. In the year 1883 he left his homeland for America and settled in Seward, Nebraska. In 1885 he came to Frontier County and located on a farm two miles east of Eustis.
“In the same year, 1885, he was united in marriage to Caroline Schmeeckle. To this union a son, Christ, was born. Caroline passed away a year after their marriage.” (Quoted from Eustis Area History, 1976, p. 137.)
