Horace was born in 1892. He was the son of August Genre and Emma Barbey. He was a World War I veteran, enlisting on 14 October 1918 and serving with the 147th Aero Squadron, though hostilities ended prior to his deployment overseas. He was subsequently discharged on 9 December 1918. He passed away in 1959.
